Runner up essay by Omar Elmousa from the University of Leicester

The ILBF law undergraduate essay competition 2023-2024 attracted many well-argued and thoughtful essays from law students at 17 universities in the UK. The question we posed was ‘Should the right to protest be unfettered?’

Lord Thomas of Cwmgiedd, Lord Carnwath CVO and Fiona Rutherford, Chief Executive of JUSTICE, judged the final round to choose the winner and runner up from the finalists.

The runner up this year was Omar Elmousa who is a law student at the University of Leicester and will be entering his third year of studies this coming year. Congratulations to Omar!

We are delighted to publish Omar’s essay which you can read here.
