The climate emergency and the role of lawyers is this year’s topic of the ILBF’s law undergraduate essay competition. But where to look for inspiration?
James Yang, one of this year’s competition judges, provides some top tips on where to find insights and inspiration to kick start the creative and analytical flow. There are many ways to tackle the question, and there is no right answer. We are really looking forward to reading your ideas.

Our competition sponsor, Latham & Watkins, is hosting a Q&A session for law undergraduates who are interested to take part in the essay competition and to hear useful career insights from Latham & Watkins on Tuesday, 13th December 2022 from 5-6pm.
At the Q&A session, we will be joined by some of the competition judges, and a member of the Latham & Watkins Graduate Recruitment team. There will be an opportunity to ask questions, and the Latham & Watkins team will share helpful advice and tips on submitting a successful application.
You can sign up and register for the Q&A session here.
We are looking forward to seeing you on 13th December!
