We’re recruiting our 2026–2027 ILBF Shipping Coordinator

This is an exceptional one‑year placement for a University of Surrey Law student to join the International Law Book Facility and support our mission to advance the rule of law worldwide.

The role involves organising international shipments, coordinating packing days at Clifford Chance and the Royal Courts of Justice, liaising with partners across Africa, Asia, the Caribbean, Europe and Latin America, and working directly with senior members of the UK legal profession.

From our current Shipping Coordinator:

“The role has pushed me to develop skills I didn’t know I had. Managing logistics, coordinating packing days, and liaising with institutions across multiple continents has been a steep but exciting learning curve. It’s strengthened my problem‑solving and organisational skills in a fast‑paced environment, and the shadowing opportunities with judges, lawyers, and ILBF partners have been invaluable. I’ve built a network spanning the legal profession and gained experience I would never have accessed elsewhere.”

What you’ll gain:

  • Project and logistics management skills
  • A global professional network
  • Direct engagement with judges, lawyers, and universities
  • The chance to contribute meaningfully to access to justice
