4 weeks to go!

Welcome to February! Four weeks to go to the deadline for the ILBF’s law undergraduate essay competition! Deadline is 29th February at 4pm.

Why should law undergraduates enter our essay competition? It’s a chance to win a fantastic prize: a week’s work experience with our competition sponsors McDermott Will & Emery, and to have your essay published. It is also an opportunity to research an important legal issue, develop your own ideas and create a sound argument – all good preparation for your future career as a lawyer.

Hear last year’s winner Clarissa Wong talk about her experience of entering.

Watch out for the recording of our panel event on the right to protest which took place on 24th January. We will post the recording in the next few days, together with links to useful resources. You will hear our excellent panellists analyse the current legislation and recent cases, assess the societal impact, and discuss what it means for the rule of law and the right to protest.

All details of the competition and how to enter are here. We are looking forward to receiving your entries!

Good luck!
